The actor needs to be truthful towards himself and his many fans. Imran asserts that people shouldn’t fear speaking their mind. Staying loyal to everything he does even if it is a brand that he endorses keeps him going. Imran also added that it is good to be serious about oneself but not get obsessed with the feeling. He feels his connect with the audience with his every film getting stronger and stronger.

Actor Imran Khan has a piece of advice for people who complain of film promotions going over-the-top – if too much promotions bother, just ignore them. “If something bothers you, like I say that some ads bother me, I put the television off. So, if people think that promotions are getting out of hand, they don’t have to pay attention, they don’t have to watch the film,” Imran said at the MTV power 1 Youth forum event. “It’s ultimately someone’s freedom and it’s their way of promoting the film. They are taking nothing away from you,” he added.

Imran said as an actor, it is his responsibility to support the producer and participate in a film’s promotions. “I think it is ultimately the personal choice. Imran Khan To Gain Weight For ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2'Imran Khan who has been signed on to play the parallel lead in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2‘ along with Akshay Kumar, will be seen in a completely different look in the film. The young actor who is playing a role of a don, has been asked to put on 5 Kgs weight to look physically perfect in the film.

Talking about casting Imran in his film, Milan Lutharia tells he loves unusual casting. He says, “I am always excited by unusual casting and this is very unlike anything Imran has played before. It is unexpected for audiences. It’s a character with a mass appeal with great one-liners, in keeping with the first part of the franchise.”

Praising his actor, the director further adds, “I sense Imran is an extremely committed actor, and am sure he will go the distance to achieve the look I have in mind, which requires a strict dietary regimen and extended endurance training among others. I am awaiting Imran’s return from Chandigarh to discuss this at length with him. Meanwhile we’ve been in touch over the phone and email.”

So, why does Lutharia wants Imran to gain weight? “The whole idea is Imran is excited about a genre he hasn’t done yet. I feel I can give his character an edge so he is shockingly different and makes everyone sit up and take notice. While he is immensely popular with girls, I believe in an action film, the actor must look his best physically,” replied he.

Imran Khan is also very excited to play the role of a don in the film. He said, “This is a challenging role and Milan has been giving me a lot of reference points for the character, ranging from looks to performance. I’m thrilled to be a part of the franchise, and even more excited with the potential of this film. I will be starting my prep work as soon as I finish shooting Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola, as I want to make sure that I can achieve what Milan has in mind.”‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2′ is going on floors in August. The film is expected to release in early 2013.

Bollywood keeps secrets from the media: Imran Khan

Posted in : Gossips

(added a month ago!)

Bollywood keeps secrets from the media: Imran KhanThe Indian actor Imran Khan has admitted the fact that in spite of sharing so much with the media, the Bollywood industry hides a lot of things from the public. Khan, now 29, insisted that there are some certain facts which are true but they are never admitted by the actors and the filmmakers.

Writing for his Hindustan Times column, Khan explained: “We settle our differences privately. “Despite the extremely close and symbiotic relationship we share with the media, there are some opinions that are never shared with them. Some disputes that are never admitted.”Fighting with each other is a common thing in the Bollywood industry but Imran thinks the actors should not publicize their fights, if they cannot avoid them.

Perhaps the budding actor, who was last seen with Kareena Kapoor in ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’, wanted to convey a message to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan since they don’t have a good equation between them all.
“The greatest offence is taking your fight public, and including ‘outsiders’,” said Khan. “Our business, like all others, is built on personal relationships. If your word means nothing, if people’s trust in you is betrayed… you’ll soon find yourself out in the cold.”

Imran Khan, nephew of B-Town superstar Amir Khan, made a very successful debut in the industry with ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ but his next releases ‘Luck’ and ‘Kidnap’ sank at the box office without any trace. May be this is a reason why he feels that Bollywood is a strange world to be a part of.

The actor told the media that he is working in the industry for the past five years but he has only felt the last three. Khan insisted that one has to earn his stripes in the Bollywood world or otherwise he is never taken seriously by anyone. Imran Khan is currently participating in the upcoming films like ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, ‘Once Upon a Time Again’ and ‘Mumbai Talkies’.
